Montessori Wooden Stick Game
A wooden tower, colorful sticks, balls, and a die. Take turns pulling sticks and try to drop the fewest balls.
How it plays
It’s a lot like the classic Kerplunk game, but made of wood. You roll the die and take turns pulling the sticks out. The goal is to have the fewest balls drop on your turn.
My take
If you’re trying to cut back on plastic toys, this is a lovely alternative to Kerplunk. It’s a great way to show cause and effect, and it boosts spatial awareness and fine motor skills too.
Montessori toys are always some of my favorites, because they combine simple elements with multi-sensory experiences.
